What LMS Development means here

A learning management system is where courses live, learners log in, progress is tracked and, for many institutes, fees are paid. Moodle and hosted platforms already do much of this well, and for many organisations one of them is the right answer.

A custom LMS is worth building when the course is the product and you need control over the experience and the revenue: your own branded app, your own pricing and batches, protection for paid video content, or integration with the systems you already run. We help you decide before anything is built.

What the work covers

Courses and content

Video lessons, documents and assignments organised into courses, modules and batches, with drip release where content should unlock over time.

Live classes

Scheduled live sessions with attendance, using Zoom, Google Meet or a built-in option, with recordings added to the course afterwards.

Tests and assessments

Quizzes and timed tests with question banks, automatic marking for objective questions and results learners can review.

Progress and certificates

Completion tracking for every learner, reports for instructors and administrators, and certificates issued automatically on completion.

Paid enrolment

Course pricing, coupons and instalments through Indian and international payment gateways, with invoices and access granted on payment.

Learner apps

Web and mobile apps for learners, with protection measures for paid video so courses are harder to share.

Corporate training

Assigned training paths, compliance courses with due dates, and reports managers can use to see who has completed what.

Technologies we use

Chosen for the project rather than for our convenience — and we will explain the trade-off before committing to any of them.

Frequently asked questions about LMS Development

Straight answers to what people ask us most. If your question is not here, call +91 9131739457 or email info@gletus.com — we answer plainly, without a sales call first.

Should we use Moodle or build a custom LMS?
Moodle is free, mature and suits structured academic courses well. A custom LMS makes sense when courses are your paid product and you need your own branded app, your own pricing model, stronger protection for video content or tight integration with your existing systems. We will tell you which fits rather than defaulting to the larger build.
Can students pay for courses inside the LMS?
Yes. Course fees, coupons and instalments through gateways such as Razorpay or Stripe are a standard part of a commercial LMS, with access granted automatically once payment succeeds.
Can paid course videos be protected from being shared?
They can be made much harder to share - streaming rather than downloadable files, signed URLs, watermarking with learner details and device limits. No method makes copying impossible, and we are straightforward about that.
Is there a mobile app for learners?
Yes. Android and iOS apps for learners are usually part of the build, working from the same backend as the web platform so progress stays in sync across devices.
Who owns the LMS once it is built?
You do - source code, database, content and documentation are handed over, and there is no per-learner licence fee payable to us.
Can you migrate our existing data?
Yes. Data migration from spreadsheets, legacy databases or another system is a normal part of the work. We scope it explicitly because real-world data is always messier than expected, and a migration discovered late is the classic cause of a delayed go-live.
Who owns the software once it is built?
You do. Source code, database schema, documentation and deployment configuration are yours, transferred at handover. Custom software you cannot host or modify without the original developer is a liability rather than an asset.
What is the difference between CRM and ERP?
A CRM manages the relationship with customers - leads, pipeline, follow-ups, quotes. An ERP manages the internals - inventory, purchasing, production, accounting, payroll. Many businesses need parts of both, and it is often cheaper to build the overlap once than to buy two systems and integrate them.
Should we buy off-the-shelf software or build custom?
Buy when your process is genuinely standard and a product already fits - it will be cheaper and available immediately. Build when your process is the thing that makes you competitive, when licence costs scale badly with headcount, or when you keep paying people to work around the software's limitations. We will say plainly which case you are in.
Can the system grow with our business?
That is the main reason to build custom rather than buy. We design the data model and module boundaries for where you expect to be in about three years, so adding users, locations or modules is configuration work rather than a rewrite.
Do you charge hourly or per project?
Fixed price per project where the scope can be defined, which is most of the time and which puts the estimating risk on us rather than you. Monthly retainers for dedicated developers or ongoing marketing, where the work genuinely keeps evolving.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes - that is the normal arrangement rather than a concession. Payment is tied to milestones: a booking amount to begin, then payments on design sign-off, development completion and launch. You are never asked for the full amount before work starts.
Is a more expensive website better?
Only if the extra money buys something you need. Custom design, more unique templates, deeper backend work and proper testing all genuinely cost more and are genuinely worth it for some businesses. Paying more for the same brochure site is not. We will tell you which parts of a bigger quote are actually earning their keep.
What is the fastest you can deliver a website?
A single landing page can go live in a few days. A five to eight page business site takes two to three weeks done properly. Anything promising a full custom site in 48 hours is describing a template with your logo on it, which is a legitimate product but not the same product.
How soon can you start?
Usually within one to two weeks, depending on current commitments. We would rather give an honest start date than book you immediately and then run the project slowly, which is the more common outcome when a supplier promises to begin the same day.
Do you work with businesses in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai or Pune?
Yes. We deliver remotely across India's major technology cities - Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Ahmedabad - on shared project boards with scheduled calls and staging links. Every city we serve has its own page describing that market specifically.
Do you provide LMS Development services in Faridabad and Ghaziabad?
Yes. We work across Faridabad and Ghaziabad including Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara, Raj Nagar and the NIT and sector markets in Faridabad, from our office in Rohini Sector-7.
Do you provide LMS Development services in Gurugram?
Yes, including Cyber City, Golf Course Road, Udyog Vihar, Sohna Road and the sector markets. Gurugram buyers tend to be more procurement-driven than the rest of NCR, so we lead with written scope, timelines and documented ownership.
Where will my website be hosted?
Wherever you prefer. We provide managed hosting with SSL, backups and monitoring, and the account is opened in your name so you keep control. If you already have hosting, or want a specific provider or region, we configure it there instead.
Do you build multilingual websites?
Yes, including Hindi and regional Indian languages, and right-to-left languages such as Arabic where a Gulf market needs it. Multilingual is a structural decision best made at the start - retrofitting it into a finished site is considerably more work than building it in.
